Stars: Spectrophotometry, Catalogs
Scientific paper
The following machine-readable data are available at the Fesenkov Astrophysical Institute: (1) spectrophotometric catalog of stars, which contains the absolute energy distributions in the 3225 to 7575 Angstroms range for 1146 stars of different spectral types and luminosity classes up to V = 7 mag. The observations were performed in 1968 to 1986 at an altitude of 1450 m, using a spectrum scanner attached to the 50 cm Cassegrain telescope. The average accuracy of the catalog data is 3.5%. (2) Catalog of secondary spectrophotometric standards. It contains the energy distributions for 238 secondary standard stars in the 3225 to 7575 Angstroms and 5975 to 10825 Angstroms spectral intervals. (3) Catalog of regional spectrophotometric standards (Stars near the northern pole). The absolute energy distributions are presented in the 3100 to 7750 Angstroms range for 27 A-type stars of 5th to 7th mag. The relative r.m.s. scatter of the results is 2 to 5% . (4) The relative intensities of emission lines in the spectra of 32 planetary nebulae in the 3700 to 7300 Angstroms region. The errors of measured intensities depend on an object brightness and vary from less than 10% for the brightest objects to 25 or 30% for the faintest ones. (5) A plate library. Excellent images of 5x5 square degree {5(deg) times 5(deg) } sky fields containing practically all nebulae that can be observed at the latitude of Alma-Ata have been obtained with the 50 cm Maksutov telescope. There is also a large amount of photographic data for photometric standards, comets, asteroids and galaxies in Virgo. More than 7000 plates are kept at the Institute today. A database, containing information about every photographic plate, has been created.
