The present investigation is concerned with one particular case of interactions between galaxies, taking into account an interacting pair consisting of an early- and late-type galaxy. The pair Arp 91 is considered. One of its galaxies, NGC 5954, is a distorted evidently gas-rich galaxy, probably a spiral, while the other, NGC 5953, is of fairly smooth and amorphous appearance, without any obvious spiral arms. The possibility is studied that NGC 5953 might be showing vigorous nonthermal activity because it was accreting material from NGC 5954. A succinct conclusion is that there is no accretion and only a small nonthermal source is found in the nucleus. Attention is given to a model which unifies most of the observations.
