The hollow-cone model of pulsar emission proposed by Komesaroff (1970) is generalized along the lines proposed by Gil (1981, 1982), attributing double-humped mean profiles to tubes of preferred field lines and eliminating the need for a nonradiating hollow zone near the magnetic axis. A numerical simulation is developed to test the mechanisms of emission in this model, and the results are presented in tables and illustrated with simulated pulses and mean profiles.
