We present an analysis of the globular cluster systems of two galaxies in the Virgo cluster, M87 and NGC 4365, using deep Hubble Space Telescope optical and near-IR observations. The choice of filters allows us to constrain the age, metallicity, and mass of individual clusters and study the distributions of these properties. We investigate the implications of our observations on both models of globular cluster system (and galaxy) formation, and dynamical evolution of globular clusters. This research was supported by NASA LTSA grant NAG5-12975.
