Initial results of our on-going survey for winds in nova-like cataclysmic variables (CVs) have revealed a variety of patterns of spectral behavior as each wind event unfolds. These patterns involve the rise and decay of P-Cygni profiles in H-alpha and HeI, as well as occasional red and blue emission wings to these lines. We present sequences of these events in a number of CVs, illustrating the complex nature of the outflows. For some systems, the changes in velocity appear more consistent with a ballistic event than with a radiation-driven wind.
