About 400,000 laser observations of the LAGEOS satellite at 15 NASA and
SAO stations have been smoothed to obtain normal points and to eliminate
erroneous data. The resultant 5985 high-precision points may serve as a
standard for testing the efficacy of various space-geodesy algorithms. A
brief comparative discussion of various smoothing methods is given.
