We present an updated linear, and a new quadratic, relation between supermassive black hole mass and bulge concentration, that can be used to predict black hole masses in other galaxies. Using the measured bulge Sersic indices from 10,000 galaxies in the Millennium Galaxy Catalog, we provide an accurate estimate of the local (z < 0.18) supermassive black hole mass function. We additionally report that 0.009(+/- 0.004) to 0.014(+/- 0.006) per cent of the universe's baryons are locked up in supermassive black holes at the centers of galaxies.
