A spectral analysis of 10 months of brightness data from the Active Cavity Radiometer Irradiance Monitor on the SMM satellite has revealed new information about the low-degree (l = 0,1, and 2) p-mode oscillations of the Sun. The mean frequencies, irradiance amplitudes, and line widths of the largest amplitude modes have been determined with previously unattained accuracy.
