SAX J1808-3654 was the first accreting neutron star to have detection of a millisecond pulse frequency. Its 401 Hz ms pulsations are energy dependent and change with time. Since the neutron star is spinning rapidly, special relativistic effects as well as light-bending effects due to general relativity, need to be considered when modeling its pulse profile. Here is described the first modeling of the pulse profiles of SAX J1808-3654 taking into account of: the three different RXTE observations with different pulse shapes; the effects light time-travel delays; oblateness of the neutron star due to rotation. All of the above have significant effect on the conclusions derived about the emitting region and the derived mass and radius of the neutron star in SAXJ1808-36.This work supported by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada.
