A modification to the method proposed by Abhyanakr and Subrahmanyam (1982) to correct for atmospheric-turbulence, emulsion-scattering, and focusing-error broadening effects in intensity profiles from solar-corona observations is presented. The calculated intensity distributions near the north, south, east, and west limbs are plotted along with observations obtained at the Raichur station of the Indian Institute of Astrophysics during the total eclipse of February 16, 1980. The spread of the observed intensity distributions is found to lie between 3 and 4 arcsec.
