Nova rates in the disk of M 31, its companions M 32 and NGC 205, as well as in M 33 are estimated on the basis of observational data obtained in the Crimea and Latvia during 1967-1990. The new data confirm a significant difference between the specific nova rates in the disk and in the bulge of M 31 (rhoB = 24.4-35.1). Similar results are obtained using galactic luminosities in the infrared K band.
