Four reflectance spectra of lunar mare regions with a higher concentration of titanium are obtained. An interpretation is given of the characteristic spectral features produced by titanium and by ilmenite. The results of the photometric processing of 'Zond-6' photographs with an effective wavelength of 0.65 microns and the color characteristics of the lunar surface in Oceanus Procellarum are used to predict the areas with a higher ilmenite content.
