The dynamic behavior of mesogranulation at photospheric layers is investigated. A distinct regime of coherent velocity and brightness fluctuations is noted in the 4.5-10-arcsec range of spatial scales. The observed phases are consistent with those that are expected for hydrodynamic flows near the bottom of a stably stratified atmosphere. A smooth transition of phases is noted between the granular and the meso regime. The ratio of horizontal/radial flow velocity is shown to gradually increase with the element size over the whole range, suggesting that the mesogranules are convective in nature.
