We present new observations of the spectra of radio-loud quasars obtained with HST and ground-based instruments. The observed-frame spectral range covered extends from the UV ( ~ 1500 Angstroms) through the optical ( ~ 9000 Angstroms), and, for some objects, into the J, H, and K bands. This coverage enables us to study the continuum and a large number of emission lines of different excitation. We report some results of our investigations into the relationships between radio-properties, line profiles, line ratios, and continuum shapes.
