The equation of radiative acoustics is derived by taking into account the effect of a transverse magnetic field and is shown to be quite similar to the acoustic equation derived in a previous paper. The only difference is that the adiabatic, isothermal, and isentropic speeds of sound and the radiation-acoustic speed are replaced by the adiabatic, isothermal, and isentropic magnetoacoustic speeds and the radiation-magnetoacoustic speed, respectively. The main results of the previous paper are valid even in the presence of a transverse magnetic field.
