The effect of the unaccounted part Delta alpha4 of the harmonic alpha4 sin 2 omega of the physical libration in longitude tau has been investigated on the basis of analysis of libration observations of the moon. It is concluded that this part is not real. The value obtained for the principal parameter of the rotation of the moon f = 0.622 + or - 0.010 is far from the resonance value f(k) = 0.662.
