The properties of energy spectra of bursts from the rapid burster detected with Tenma and Hakucho between August 5-31, 1983 are studied. The spectra of 20 type-I bursts and 3000 type-II bursts are analyzed by fitting the data to a blackbody spectrum. It is observed that the properties of the type-I bursts are similar to other bursts except for the small fluctuation of the peak fluxes and maximum color temperature, and a large persistent flux to burst peak flux ratio. The analysis of the type-II burst produced three morphological subgroups classified as: (1) short bursts of durations less than 1-50 s with flux variation, (2) long, flat-top bursts of durations greater than 50 s with flux saturation, and (3) exotic bursts with slow rise and decay. The data reveal that for all three types of bursts the color temperature duration relationship is similar and less spectral evolution is detected compared to type-I bursts.
