The angular correlation function of faint galaxies has been measured down to a limiting magnitude of J = 23.5 in a 0.55 deg2 area near the South Galactic Pole. This function follows a power law with exponent 0.7 - 0.8 for J < 22.5; at fainter magnitudes there is evidence for a flattening in the power-law slope, in agreement with the observations of Koo and Szalay. The authors' correlation amplitudes are in reasonable agreement with those of Koo and Szalay at J < 22.5, but are a factor of ≡2 larger at J = 23.5. If real, this result favors models with a lower level of galaxy evolution; however, this conclusion appears to be weakened by the observation that differences in Aω among different groups are correlated with systematic differences in galaxy number counts.
