Vlb Interferometry: Network, Vlb Interferometry: Radio Telescopes

The mm-VLBI observations performed so far have in most cases been possible thanks to fruitful cooperation between geodesy and astronomy VLBI. The same type of cooperation will now add the Swedish-ESO submillimeter telescope, SEST, to the present network. The author shows the advantages, i.e. better sensitivity, UV-coverage and access to the southern hemisphere, obtained by adding SEST.
