Solar Activity Cycles, Solar Activity Cycles: Variations
Scientific paper
The following possible time variations of solar cycle duration T on the basis of geological data (varves) were established: (1) the general diminution of T¯ from 23.4 to 11 years manifests a progressive evolutionary enhancement of the solar activity and moreover, (2) T¯ variation with a nearly 300-million year period, there were 12-year cycles in the Great Ice epochs of the Earth and 10-year cycles - in the interglacial epochs.
