A model in which galaxy disks have constant mass/luminosity ratios is used to study several galaxies with unexplained rotation curves. The photometric and modeled rotation curves of NGC 3054, 925, and 2366 are compared, demonstrating that there are cases in which variations in surface brightness are not correlated with variations in the surface density of the disk. Consideration is given to the possible explanations and implications of this result.
