The evolution of the apsidal line of a material point in the case of first-order resonances is examined. It is shown that, if the main discriminant Delta is greater than 0, the apsidal line has direct secular motion with a periodic component superposed on it. The period of this component coincides with that of the eccentricity variation. When Delta is less than 0, the rotation is retrograde and the periodic component has a period equal to half that of the eccentricity.
