Radio continuum maps of 20 Abell clusters of galaxies obtained with the 100-m Effelsberg telescope at 11.1 cm and maps of selected sources at 6.3 cm are presented. All observations contain linear polarization information, and most of the 11-cm maps cover the full Abell radius of 3 Mpc (H(0) = 50 km/s Mpc) of the clusters. Radio data for 86 sources are listed. Radio spectra were obtained for 56 sources using literature data. No evidence is found for the sources selected from a low frequency (151 MHz) survey to have systematically steeper radio spectra than the average of the entire Effelsberg cluster sample. Optical identifications are proposed for 40 sources. New identifications of two IRAS sources were found. Indirect evidence is presented for the presence of cluster radio halos in A948, A1329, A2176 and A2312.
