Measurements of the radio continuum emission at 327 MHz, 1.49, and 10.7 GHz of the nearby spiral galaxy IC 342 are presented. These observations are used to separate the thermal and nonthermal emission. The thermal emission is distributed like the H II regions, but there is also a more diffuse thermal component. Various scalelengths have been determined, and from these it is concluded that the relativistic electrons diffuse (convect) in the plane of the galaxy over a typical pathlength of about 7 kpc. From the location of the nonthermal emission with respect to the optical spiral arm it is suggested that corotation is at a radius of about 5 kpc.
