We investigate the bar instability in stellar disks embedded inside a dark matter halo evolving in a fully cosmological framework. We present cosmological simulations in which the role of the disk-halo mass ratio and the Q parameter are emphasized. Disks expected to be stable according to classical criteria form indeed weak bars. This result is due to dynamical properties of the cosmological halo, which is far from stability and isotropy.
