Over the next decade, SN Ia experiments will provide accurate luminosity distance measurements and test the nature of dark energy. Cosmic dust extinction is a potential source of systematic uncertainty which can bias the interpretation of the dark energy parameter inference. Here, we review some of the results based on a generic model of intergalactic gray dust and the impact it may have on the estimation of a dark energy equation of state parameter from Monte Carlo simulated SN Ia data.
