I report the detection of about 1200 Lyman Break Galaxies (LBGs) at z=3.8+-0.5 and about 100 LBGs at z=4.7+-0.5 in deep, multicolor imaging data of two blank fields (600 arcmin2 and 700 arcmin2). The limiting magnitudes of the z=3.8+-0.5 LBG sample (selected by BRi colors) and the z=4.7±0.5 sample (selected by Viz colors) are i'(AB)=26.0 and z'(AB)=25.5, respectively. The contamination and completeness of the samples are evaluated on the basis of the Hubble Deep Field North objects. I derive rest-frame 1700A luminosity functions for the two samples, to find that the dust-uncorrected star formation rate distribution is roughly unchanged from z=3 to 5, with the number density of actively star-forming galaxies being higher than in the local universe. I also discuss the evolution of star formation rate density. If time permits, I introduce preliminary results of studies on galaxy clustering at intermediate redshifts on the basis of our multicolor data.
