The butterfly-shaped planetary nebula, NGC 6302, shows a dense equatorial dark lane, which is presumably a dusty disc. We report observations of the dark lane based on Hubble Space Telescope (HST) Hα image, James Clerk Maxwell Telescope (JCMT) 450 μm images, and JCMT 12CO, 13CO J=2-1 and 3-2 line observations.
