UBV photometry and classification spectroscopy have been carried out for four suspected O'Connell effect systems in the southern hemisphere. Although the light curves are incomplete, they represent the first photoelectric data on these systems and reveal the degree to which the O'Connell effect is present. Phases of minima were computed for all four systems, and for previously published light curves for AQ Mon. Improved elements were derived for the latter system. Fourier representations for the four systems were also determined.
