Scientific paper
More than thirty years ago Pearce and Abt independently published orbits for HD 23642. The elements were rather similar, but not identical within their uncertainties. A study of the original data discloses that the period used by Pearce was erroneous. By pooling the data a new solution, better than either of the original ones, is obtained. The system should be observed for eclipses.
