Spectra obtained with the Image Dissector Scanner system on the 3-m Lick Observatory telescope of the broad absorption line quasar PG 1700 + 518 are combined with previous IUE and infrared observations to determine the various spectral components. In the 1500-5500 A wavelength interval, a power law continuum with a spectral index of -1.2 and strong Fe II emission bands are found to be the major components, while Balmer continuum radiation and the thermal black body continuum are only minor contributors to the total emission. Though PG 2302 + 029 shows no broad Mg II 2798 A absorption, its absorption spectrum is nearly identical to that of PG 1700 + 518. Subtraction of the two spectra show that the Mg II 2798 A trough is similar in profile to that of C IV 1548 A. The total flux emitted in the Fe II lines of PG 2302 + 029 is estimated to be 6 x 10 to the 46 erf erg/s, and good agreement is found between the distribution of Fe II emission and previous results.
