The authors identify six He-strong stars which may be good candidates in
searches for β Cephei pulsation based on their location in a plot
of β vs. [u - b]. The significance of detection of pulsational
variability among the He-peculiar stars in the study of excitation
mechanisms for β Cephei stars is discussed.
