N2-broadened linewidths of H2O have been calculated for the pure rotational and nu2-band transitions using an improved version of the Anderson-Tsao-Curnutte theory. Agreement with the experimental values is good. It is shown that the contribution from the quadrupole-quadrupole interaction is significant. Previous calculations by Gamache and Davies, based on QFT theory, are reviewed and compared with the present calculations.
