U Geminorum is in outburst. Current magnitude estimates are approx. magnitude 9.5.
University of MN astronomers have obtained infrared data that indicate a recent dust formation around N Aq 95. They recommend a close monitoring of the star in case it quickly fades due to the formation of an optically thick dust shell.
Astronomers observing with the IUE are requesting cooperation in monitoring R Coronae Borealis to correlate the IUE data with optical data.
The standing request by astronomers from the Space Telescope Science Institute to monitor T Pyx continues as does a similar request to continue monitoring GK Per.
