The author presents results of high-precision measurements of radial velocity variations in α Boo (Arcturus). Data were taken during eight nights in 1986 January - April and 1987 May with five minute time resolution and velocity precision of 15 - 20 m s-1. Significant radial velocity variability of α Boo is detected well in excess of the random and systematic measurement errors. The radial velocity varies by an amount greater than 200 m s-1 with a period around 2 days. This variation is seen both in the difference of mean velocities from night to night and in large systematic velocity changes during a single night.
