Flux measurements obtained during the NASA Spacelab-3 mission in 1985 were used to determine the ionization states of oxygen ions in anomalous cosmic rays (ACRs). The geomagnetic transmission factors for ACR oxygen ions of various charge states have been determined from the known cut-off rigidities in the world grid. It is found that the average ionization state of ACR oxygen ions in the energy interval 20-26 MeV/N is O(1+).
