Novae: Stellar Evolution
Scientific paper
Concentrates on nova systems and their involvement in the evolution of
cataclysmic variables (CVs). It is believed that all CVs experience nova
outbursts cyclically. The transitions between the different states are,
however, usually longer than a human life. The observations have not
succeeded so far in establishing which scenario is correct.
