The effect of isospin symmetry breaking on level statistics is examined
with the nuclear shell model. We find that greater symmetry-breaking is
needed for these statistical measures than was necessary to reproduce
isotopic mass differences. Effects of the broken symmetry on reduced
transition probabilities are also examined.
