An attempt was made to locate predicted Fe II lines from three sources in the spectra of several sharp-lined mercury-manganese and early-A-type stars. In looking for possible Fe II lines, a comparison was made between stars with strong Fe II lines such as Theta Leo, O Peg, and HR 7664 and those with weak Fe II lines such as 53 Tau. The persistence of some of these lines is revealed by their presence in 53 Tau which is slightly iron poor.
