A statistical study of the evolution of radio galaxies with double structure is presented. Results are presented for 77 radio galaxies with known red shift. In the angular size-redshift diagram there is a lower envelope that corresponds to a minimum linear size of about 40 kpc. This appears to indicate that double structures originated at this distance, using it as the starting point of their evolution. Radio luminosity, volume, and total energy of individual components vary with D. For radio galaxies of largest linear size, it appears that absolute visual magnitude increases with increasing D. The rate of evolution is about +4.m8/Mpc.
