A power spectrum analysis of the coronal index was performed to study rotation and short periodicities in 530.3 nm solar corona in cycle 20 for the Sun as a star. A basic rotation rate of 27.32 days (synodic) was found. It varied from 36 to 26 days at different periods of the cycle. Other significant short periodicities were found: 88.8 days, 2.19, 3.45, 5.07 and 10.82 (the length of cycle 20) years. No periodicities of 152 days and 7 years, mentioned in the reference, were found. The authors suggest that two rotation rates are generated by the two components of the solar corona.
