High-resolution spectroscopic observations were carried out for a starburst-nucleus galaxy Markarian 52. It is found that emission lines of H-alpha, forbidden N II 6584 A, and forbidden O III 5007 A reveal evident blueward asymmetric profiles with FWZI = 600 km/s, providing kinematical evidence for wind from the nucleus. The excitation condition of the blue wing emission is comparable to that of LINERs. These features may be interpreted as due to supernova-driven wind from the nuclear starburst region. On the other hand, in the light of recent interpretation of LINER spectra, a possibility that the wing-emission gas is photoionized by putative central power-law continuum sources cannot be ruled out.
