The search for astrophysical sources for gravitational waves has led to new techniques for solving Einstein's field equations. One way is to use the Newman-Penrose spinor formalism. Assuming a set of initial data and applying regularity conditions and other geometric constraints give rise to interesting physical phenomenon. There has been attempt to find analytic solutions though numerical computations seem to give more insight into the complex system of equations.
