We have taken six new VLT-AO images of GQ Lupi A and its very low-mass substellar companion, which is a planet or brown dwarf, over a period of two years. We reach sub-mas precision in relative astrometry and find first indication for orbital motion. Also, we can use the data to investigate possible photometric variability of both objects. By adding up all images available, we detect no further innermore companions, but two more fainter objects further outwards. We will summarize and discuss all information available so far about GQ Lupi and its companion.
