Hydromagnetic turbulence in the coronal phase of the interstellar medium
is examined. It is shown that Alfven waves generated by the relativistic
cosmic ray particles will produce turbulence that can act as a cosmic
ray diffusion mechanism. Cosmic rays would then acquire an anisotropy
compatible with observations.
