Direct digital synthesis (DDS) technique is a new method to frequency generation, and it has been widely used since it has many advantages. The spurious lines of DDS out spectrum in case of existing the phase truncation are analyzed in detail using the digital spectrum analysis technique for a class of nonuniformly sampled signals. A method of adding a sequence of pseudo-random numbers to convert the discrete spectrum line into a continuous noise floor is discussed.
