We propose to conduct a sweeping survey of many giants in many clusters to characterize the abundance variations on a large scale. We will correlate the observed effects with cluster properties (age, CMD morphology, concentration, kinematics, etc.) to try to determine how and why the cluster giants have the compositions they have today. Survey data will allow us to address a) the frequency of lithium-rich giants in clusters, b) dependence of proton-capture nucleosynthesis on global cluster parameters, c) the variation of neutron-capture elements within and among clusters, and d) factors which affect the presence of H(alpha) emission in tip giants.
