New UBV photometry of 60 candidates for the exciting stars of a sample of optical H II regions between Galactic longitudes 30 and 70 deg is presented, together with MK spectral types for a smaller number of stars. These data allow the identification of 11 possible new exciting stars in 7 nebulae. A catalog of basic data on the 36 Sharpless (1959) H II regions in this longitude range has been compiled from the present observations and from a reanalysis of existing data and is also presented, with notes on individual nebulae.
