Accurate cross-sections for the photoionization of the B(+) (2s2 1Se) ground state have been calculated, using close-coupling expansions of the initial and final states on the five lower states (2s, 2p, 3s, 3p, 3d) of the residual B(2+) ion. The cross-sections vary rapidly with photon energy in the interval between the first two ionization thresholds (493 A and 398 A), because of two series of autoionizing Rydberg resonances 2pns, 2pnd 1P0. At higher energies, the resonance structures converging toward the 3s, 3p, 3d thresholds are relatively less important, and the decreasing background agrees reasonably with earlier work ignoring resonances. The total and partial cross-sections are given in graphical and tabular forms.
