We present the results of a search of three fields from the MACHO Project's Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC) database for High-Amplitude d Scuti variables (HADS). A total of 101 HADS were identified based on their periods and lightcurve shape, this represents the largest sample of extra-galactic d Scuti variables yet published. The distributions of periods and amplitudes of the variables are similar to those of previously known Galactic HADS as is the structure of their lightcurves. We have found seven double-mode HADS; four of which, with period ratios ~0.77 are likely pulsating in the fundamental and first overtone modes, and one, with a period ratio ~0.8, is likely a first- second overtone pulsator. The HADS show a spread in color larger than expected, possibly indicating that a range of stellar populations are being sampled. We derive a Period-Luminosity relation from the stars for which we can reliably identify the pulsation modes. The slope of our relation is ~15% smaller than those previously derived for HADS. This discrepancy is likely a result of selection biases in our sample against detecting the faintest d Scuti variables. The lightcurves of all detected HADS were examined for evidence of period change and it was found that the periods of two of the stars are not constant over the duration of the observations. The magnitudes and directions of the period changes would suggest an origin other than evolutionary changes in the stars.
